Licensed Mental Health Counselor

If you’ve ever wondered how you can be so smart and capable, yet still feel completely stuck in your own head, welcome. You’re in good company.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line, but every step turned out to be essential. Before opening my private practice, I spent twenty years managing communications and strategy for Fortune 100 companies in healthcare and energy.

That means I spent two decades watching brilliant, high-achieving professionals silently struggle with perfectionism, anxiety, and the exhausting pressure to look like they had it all together (and living through plenty of it myself).

When I earned my master’s in counseling, I brought those 20 years of real-world experience with me. I understood the unique weight of corporate burnout, the complexity of family dynamics, and how easy it is to get trapped in the space between knowing what to do and actually doing it.

Faith Isn’t Just a Buzzword For Me

My faith isn’t a decorative layer or a quick band-aid when I struggle. It’s the foundation of everything I do.

Having served in church ministry for 25 years — leading youth groups, mentoring students, and building curriculum — I’ve learned that real transformation isn’t about spiritual performance or repeating clichés when life gets hard.

It’s about a personal connection with God.

I believe mental health and spiritual health aren’t separate categories; they are deeply integrated parts of what it means to be fully human.

My approach skips the dense jargon and performance in favor of what actually works: grounded psychology, practical steps forward, and a steady trust in God.
